Banking problem Pennsylvania

I need urgent advice: I opened an account in Citizens Bank in PA and i deposited a check. first the bank claimed that the check is fraud then they cleared it from the other bank then they told me that the source of the cash is unclear. I am Iraqi came here depending on my self I did not find a job and my family sent me the money to cover the living expenses but they bank has it now. I do not what is the system and how does it work and now i am in the middle of chaos, please, help me with advice?

What did the bank tell you? Are they holding the cash until they do an investigation of the source?

The bank is going to hold the funds until they can verify the source of the funds. This is in accordance to the US Patriot Act. You need to communicate with your bank and answer any questions they may have. Aside from that, you just have to wait.

That's about all you can do is wait for the investigation to be complete. (That's apparently what they are still doing.) You can check with the bank re the status of the investigation though they should get back to you.
