  • I moved into Ohio last year. How do I file?

Anyone who earned or received income in Ohio must file an Ohio income tax return. If you were a part-year resident of Ohio, you are entitled to a credit against your Ohio tax for income earned in another state. To claim this credit you must file Ohio form IT 1040 and use Schedule D.

To request this form, or for help in completing this return, you may call our toll-free number at 800-282-1782, contact our Taxpayer Service Centers. You will find this form in most libraries, post offices and banks, between January 1st and May 31st.
