    We purchased a piece of property recently in Alabama. We requested a survey. It has been 8 months since we bought the property and we have just moved to Alabama to build on our property. We have just discovered that our realtor altered our contract without our initials saying that we did not want a survey and that a survey existed and he sold us the wrong piece of property, he represented the property next door to our property. He says he didn't know, but he is the listing agent for the entire development, how can he not know what he is selling? Instead of having a prime piece of cleared real estate over looking the lake we have the lot next door that it full of woods that faces away from the lake. Can we do something?

    You could check into having the deed set aside for fraud or mistake.
