  • L1 B Visa Extension on Medical Groud Rhode Island Rhode Island

My L1 B Visa/I-94 is expiring on 14 September 2012. My spouse is pregnant and her due date is 15 November. My Company is applying for L1 B extension but I want to know; Should I add any medical document so that I can stay in US up to 15 November.

    Please suggest.

Have you been in this country for 5 years? If not, an entension should not be a problem as long as you are still working for the same employer. The pregnancy will not be a factor.
I post with the full knowledge and support of my employer, though the opinions rendered are my own and not necessarily representative of their position. In other words, I'm a free agent.

I have completed only 3 years. In Rohd Island state, how much time the Govt take to reply the visa extension either RFE or Rejection. I will apply on 14 sept 2012 and in November there is election process. Will election process affect the Visa extension processing.

If you are asking about the Presidential election, no, it will not affect visas. If you know you will need an extension, I would not wait to apply. It can take several months to get an answer.
