  • Milwaukee Wisconsin walk in wait time?

    Hi,

Anybody recently (in the last 3 or 4 months) went to the INS office in
Milwaukee, Wisconsin? How long did you have to wait before you were able
to speak to an information officer?

I am thinking about walking in there next week. I am wondering when is
a good time to get there and how long I will have to wait, etc. Thanks
    in advance.

Don't know how long, but if you are going to do a walk-in, then I would
be there before the doors open. If it is anything like the one in
Philly, they queue up all nite and you could be in there hours.

Milwaukee is not too bad. Although I would agree with getting
      there early.

When I first lived there the office was in the old State Building which
was a nightmare logistically. More recently they have moved into a brand-spanking-
new office which I was at a few months ago. Still a decent wait (3+
      hours), but a nicer view!

If only they spent the money that they spend on security officers on
immigration officers the whole process would run a lot smoother. The
last time I was there, there were four security officers working but
      only one immigration officer.

      Hmmm...

Unless you need information about your specific case, don't ask at any
USCIS office (INS no longer exists) for information; ask a lawyer instead.
