    I applied April 8, 2003, fingerprinted on june 17, waiting for
    interview.Average waiting time for in Washington, DC/ Arligton office:
    fingerprint to oath- 1 year.One of my friend got his citizenship last month.

    We have very similar timelines. I think your friend's lucky and his/her
    experience isn't representative of Arlington's processing. Four friends
    of mine applied in 2002, three of them interviewed, none have taken the
    oath yet after more than one year and a half. The one with the interview
    pending applied 14 months ago.

    Do you think they sort the cases by country/region of birth?
