Center.. Specially in last 4 months where it has moved for more than
    one year back log.

Any Comments..!! Is it for real..?

Here is a useful timeline from http://www.Visajourney.com:

    http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/...&op3=1&op4=1&-
    op5=&op6=Vermont%20Service%20Center

It shows people's timelines through Vermont and their approval dates,
    etc. Good information.

I'm just a little confused. Doesn't the I-485 get filed at a local
USCIS office...not one of the service centers? The I-129F petition gets
filed at the Vermont Service Center, but wouldn't the I-485 get filed at
the local office in your area?

      Thanks,
      Rene

485's for service centers seem odd for a K-1 or K-3... hmmm

Only those resident in MD file their AOS at VSC, it is then passed onto
Baltimore - don't ask me why but it's a **** sight faster than having it
go from Baltimore to NBC, (Missouri) and then back again, as happens
with the majority of AOS applications sent to other district offices.

It took four months, from my initial AOS filing, (end of February, 2004)
to having my interview and being given the I-551 stamp in my passport
          (end of June, 2004).
