I have the opportunity of a job in the US Virgin Islands. I am a US
    permanent resident.

Does anyone know if this US territory is considered to be part of the US
in terms of residency requirements? In other words if I move there would
I be considered to have given up my US residency?

I've looked online at the US Virgin Islands websites, but can't seem to
find an answer. Thanks in advance.

    Yes, it is.
    INA 101(a)(36):
"(36) The term "State" includes the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico,
Guam, and the Virgin Islands of the United States."
