  • emanicipation - 16 and pregnant in Oklahoma

I live in Oklahoma and I just found out I was pregnant a few days ago. The thing is my boyfriend who is 14, turns 15 in July, is moving to Texas at the end of June. I don't want to have this baby alone, but my mom is completly refusing to let me move with him. So I want to get emancipated I just don't know how I can go about doing that. I really need help. Do I need my moms permission to be emancipated? Can I just get a job and prove to the courts that I have ways (boyfriends family) to support me and my baby? With my situation can I get emancipated?

Yes, most parents would refuse to allow it.

Having Boyfriend's family support you and your child (even partial support) is not self-sufficient, which is one of the requirements for emancipation.

You need a valid reason why emancipation would be in your best interest. Do you have one? Wanting to move to another state with Boyfriend is NOT a valid reason.
