  • Vacation Pay

    California

Are there laws as far as how much vacation a company should give you?

My friend thinks after the first year of employment they have to increase the vacation time to two weeks per year.

Our employee manual says it's one week per year, until three years of employment, at which time it becomes two weeks per year.

Please advise if there are any laws governing this.

    thanks!

Vacation and other benefits are at the employer's discretion. There is no law requiring they offer you these benefits.
