My wife works as a care giver at a group home for the disabled and her duties are to live in the home 24 hours a day 4 days a week. She has to document information round the clock and is supposed to be being paid for 12 hours a day for 4 days.I knew she was not making very much money but she loves the caring for them so I didn't say anything, but it has been a little over a year she has worked there. Now her boss wants to go to a shift schedule, and that sparked me to do some adding and she gets $70 a day for 12 hours (I think should be more since documents round clock) that comes to $5.83 per hour and 48 hours a week. She gets no overtime pay.Would someone please give me a bit of advice on which direction i should start?
