  • Salaried Manager... and tips - Nebraska

I was wondering if it is legal in the state of Nebraska for my salaried manager to accept tips from customers. Sorry if this is in the wrong board.

    It's fine where it is.

Does your manager wait on tables where the tips are left for him/her directly by the customer?
I don't respond to Private Messages unless the moderator specifically refers you to me for that purpose. Thank you.

      Yea, for the most part.

Then it isn't illegal in your state. The employer cannot take any of YOUR tips, unless it's for a "reasonable and customary" tip pool that is distributed to other similarly situated workers, but it is not inherently illegal for the manager to keep tips left expressly for him, if he is doing the work.
