In California. How do I get paid if the company pays overtime for coming in on holiday to work? For ex: I work M-Wed (8 hrs/day= 24 hrs) and I come in to work on Thurs and Fri (16 hrs holidays and work 16 hrs) and also work on Saturday (8 hrs). Will the hours be calculated as Reg: 32 hrs, ot:16 hrs?

    MON:8
    TUES: 8
    WED: 8
    THURS: 8 OT+ 8 HOLIDAY
    FRI: 8 OT + 8 HOLIDAY
    SAT: 8

    Please advice. Thanks.

Overtime is based on hours worked, not hours paid. Based on your schedule, I would say that you pay would be as follows:

    40 hours regular pay
8 hours overtime at 1.5 per hour = 12 hours
    16 hours holiday pay

for pay in the amount equivalent to 68 hours. Do you agree?
