  • Are you entitled to show up pay in PA Pennsylvania Pennsylvania

I would like to know if you show up on a day you are suppose to work to find out a vendor did not send the product you need for that days work are you under PA law entitled to "show up time". I would also like to know if your hours are from 11-5:30 are your employers allowed to make you show up at 10:45 with no pay for those 15 minutes? Or to are they allowed to make you clean after your done or at other times you are not on the clock?

Assuming you are a nonexempt (generally speaking, hourly-paid) employee:

    1. No. There is no reporting pay requirement in PA.

    2. In most cases, no. What are you doing for those 15 minutes?

    3. Again, in most cases no. How long does this "clean-up" take? And does the employer have a "rounding" policy for your clock in/out times?
I don't respond to Private Messages unless the moderator specifically refers you to me for that purpose. Thank you.
