    I work in a restaurant and if you are on a closing shift they make you close out all your tables and take a 30 minute non-paid break, even if you dont want one. The shift is generally about 6-7 hours. Is this legal? Are we required to do so or can you say no?

    Perfectly legal and yes they can.

      What's more, in your state a break is required by law.
      The above answer, whatever it is, assumes that no legally binding and enforceable contract or CBA says otherwise. If it does, then the terms of the contract or CBA apply.
