  • Pay Stub Laws in NJ New Jersey

    Hi,

My employer pays me salary on time but dont give me pay stubs (salary slips). He fears I might transfer my H1 visa. Is it mandatory in NJ to provide salary slips (pay stubs) to employee? Can I legally force him to send those?

    Thanks in Advance

Not my state but my reference book has a 50 state chart and says that for NJ is required to supply a pay stub with "statement of total wages and deductions". However that is all I have. The chart does not bother referring to the actual law.

However, you cannot "force" the employer to give you one. You can, though, file a complaint with the state DOL.
I don't respond to Private Messages unless the moderator specifically refers you to me for that purpose. Thank you.
