  • Lost Money in the Cashdrawer Nevada

    one more question...

We have many people who work at our counter and there is one common till. there is no one person who works the money, it is whoever needs to make change that does it. Our till was 34 dollars short and we as employees were told that we were responsible to repay the till whether we had worked in it or not. there were also people from other departments that had been in the money that day.

Question is: Is is legal to force us to put money into an unmonitored till when it is short?

Under federal rules, maybe legal subject to limitations.

Nevada is not my state and I have no idea what rules (if any) NV has on this subject.
