  • Mandatory Staff Meetings Massachusetts

Do I have to be paid for mandatory staff meetings that I am required to attend during my time off?

Assuming you are a nonexempt (basically, hourly-paid) employees, yes you do.
I don't respond to Private Messages unless the moderator specifically refers you to me for that purpose. Thank you.

      madatory meetings massachusetts

Thanks so much for your reply, I am an hourly paid employee and my employer recently had all of the employees come in for a mandatory meeting from 7:00 PM to 8:45 PM. I had already worked form 6:45 am to 3pm that day and another employee who I feel badly for had worked from 8am to 7pm with out a break that day and then was required to attend. Many of us have also been asked to come in for mandatory meetings on our days off and as you can imagine we're not to happy about the employer thinking they don't have to pay us for these mettings.
Do you happen to know where I can find proof of this for my employer? As I am terrible at finding my way through government websites?
      Thanks again!!!!!
