  • Illinois - Helping Custodial Parents with Child Support

    "Child Support Problems in Illinois".
It is a good place to vent and have others understand what you are talking about. We are a great support system for each other. This is the place to share ideas, contact information for Child Support Enforcement and Government Officials and web sites you can visit to obtain information on laws in Illinois. We will also be able to help you with interstate Child Support cases (you live here and the non-custodial parent lives in another state).

It is my hope to give you information that you will need to persuade Child Support Enforcement in Illinois to use their enforcement tools that are available. The more educated you become, the more you will achieve.

    Biased Website

I went there to ask questions about my problems and I was basically denied to be a member because I am a NCP. I was told that I cannot even share in any of the discussions because it was strictly for CP's only. Just wanted to make sure this was clarified for everyone.

Thank you for trying to clairfy this. I am sorry that you felt insulted and that no one cares. But this group is set up for Custodial Parents trying to collect their child support and to become educated about Child Support and Enforcement tools. This is not a group for Non-Custodial parents although I can empathize with you wanting information. There are groups out there that can supply you with information that you need. The reason that I don't allow NCP in the group is this can lead to debating, which we do not allow. I want to mention that I have several Custodial Dads that are seeking information about collecting their child support that the non-custodial mom owes. This group is not gender based - it is however for the Custodial Parent's only.
I can empathize with you because I have a son who is going through issues with his child support and visitation. I understand how there is unfairn, unjust issues for the NCP. I do understand. But, I can not sit on the fence, I have to be one one side or another. Since issues of non-support have effected my life and the life of my son I choose to address these issues.
I have seen groups that have both CP & NCP, sometimes they work fine and sometimes they don't. I have answered many a question for the NCP who writes and ask to join the group. I tell them why they can not join but give them links to where they can find information on the issues they are facing.
I am not against the NCP, I am not against visitation with their children. Children need both parents emotionally and financially.
I hope that this answers some questions. I wish you the best of luck in any issues that you are facing. Here are some links that may help you to obtain information

I hope these will help you. Please don't bash me or my group, it is undeserved and unfair. I will not respond to anymore of this. I feel in my heart that I am doing my best to help others that are in the same boat as me. We have a broken system for both the Custodial Parent and the Non Custodial Parent. Children should come first, they deserve the love and caring from both parents.
