If I start an LLC and it does not produce any income or I do not take a salary, can I still collect unemployment?

In order to collect unemployment, you have to have earned wages during a specified time period (eligibility period). You also have to be actively seeking and able to accept employment when offered, not trying to get your own business up and running. Also, CT unemployment specifically exempts sole proprietors and partners.
