I work for a contracting company in Alabama and we give are employees breaks with pay and we give lunch breaks also 30 min, but they are not paid for lunch. If a employee dose not take a lunch break do we have the right to take out the 30min out of there pay, since we offer lunch breaks.

If a employee dose not take a lunch break do we have the right to take out the 30min out of there pay, since we offer lunch breaks. Huh? The lunch breaks are already unpaid. Why would you take 30 minutes out of their pay if they don't take a meal break? On the contrary, if they worked through their lunch, then you have to pay them for that time.

If you're saying the employee worked through their meal break without authorization, you still have to pay for the time worked but you can discipline the employee for violating a work rule.
