  • Flexing Full Time Employees Alabama

My wife works in a not-for-profit hospital and has had to "flex" hours for 2/3's of this year. By doing so we have had to supplement paychecks by using her vacation time. She stopped flexing a few months ago d/t using up all her vacation time. Now its the new fiscal year and they want to start flexing time again. She is a full time employee. Is there any laws to help protect her hours of employment(40/week)?

    Thanks

Minus an employment contract or CBA to the contrary, there is no law that guarantees a certain # of hours of work a week. Sorry.
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. Leo Buscaglia

Agree. But just to be clear, by "flexing hours" do you mean adjusting her weekly schedule?
I don't respond to Private Messages unless the moderator specifically refers you to me for that purpose. Thank you.
