  • Paid monthly? can they do this? Massachusetts

Most companies pay either bi-weekly or twice a month. Pay days do not normally come up in the interview process. Can a company pay a salary employee monthly, if they want? is there any law that states when someone must be paid, opther than within x amount of days after the "pay period"?

Massachusetts: Bi-weekly or weekly; semi-monthly or bi-weekly for FLSA-exempts or salaried employees (monthly if they agree)

So, yes, a salaried employee can be paid on a monthly basis.

And according to at least one definition, if you accept the job you are agreeing to their practices which includes the pay frequency.
The above answer, whatever it is, assumes that no legally binding and enforceable contract or CBA says otherwise. If it does, then the terms of the contract or CBA apply.
