  • Lay off and Workmans Comp Wisconsin

I am going to be laid off in a few weeks. I hurt myself lifting some material in the plant. If I go on WC, will it affect my recall rights. Can the company still lay me off even though I would be on WC.

Are you a union member? Short of a CBA (union contract) the law does not provide you with any "recall rights".
I don't respond to Private Messages unless the moderator specifically refers you to me for that purpose. Thank you.

I am not a union member. My concern is with them being able to lay me off while on WC and will WC still pay the medical bills.

Your being laid off or even terminated has no effect on your employer's liability for your WC injury. Any medical bills must still be paid by your employer, even after you are laid off.
