  • bonding with marijuana possession Michigan

I have a 1.5 year old conviction for possession of marijuana. I have an interview with a bank and I am wondering if this misdemeanor conviction will prevent me from being bondable?

Wow am I disappointed! All I could see from the previous page was "bonding with marijuana" and as I'm having one helluva day I thought "Hmmm, is that ever something I need to be doing right now."

But no, my high expectations (pun intended) have been thwarted, it's just another employment law question.

That said, I don't know about the bonding bit, but I'm pretty sure it would be perfectly legal for the bank to refuse to hire you based on your possession record, even if you could get bonded.

Agree, in Mi. they can refuse to hire you on that conviction.
