  • Multiple Doctors - Failure to Diagnose - Resulting in Death of Patient Missouri

A family member of mine passed away in February from a Pulmonary Embolism likely (obviously) caused by Deep Vein Thrombosis (undiagnosed). For over Six Weeks prior to their death they were sent to a variety of Medical Professionals, including a Doctor of Internal Medicine, a Neurologist, an Orthopedic Surgeon, a Physical Therapist, a Rhuematologist, and a General Practitioner as well as a few other kinds of specialists and extra doctors for second opinions. after those weeks, and lots of testing, the doctors decided there was nothing clinically wrong with her and that there was nothing they could do, canceling additional scheduled appointments. About three days later, she (the patient) died of the Pulmonary Embolism. This should have been avoided since all the warning signs were there and no one ordered the tests for it.

I was wondering how strong of a malpractice lawsuit I have, seeing as there were multiple doctors involved and all the warning signs were present.

no one can tell you how strong a case you have except a lawyer.

You would want a medical malpractice lawyer.
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. Leo Buscaglia
