Hi, I'm a teen mom and I want to adopt a child when I get a lil bit older. I was just wondering what I'm up for. My reason is because I realized alot of children are mistreated and I figure if I could help just one I might make a difference even if it is little. Well email me at frankiejean03@yahoo.com or just reply please.

So go to google and type in "adoption". Plenty of websites on the web.

There's certainly nothing wrong with adopting a child. I happen to be an
adoptee myself. But you've stated that you're a teen mother - Have you even
graduated high school? Do you have a job? A home? A steady income? Credit
history? Any of this?
Personally, I think you need to grow up quite a bit before you even consider the
idea.

It is considered a courtesy to include - at the very least - the name of
the poster to whom you are responding, as well as a short quote, so that
other readers may follow the conversation -- considering you're posting
by way of an all purpose "parenting" web site rather than using Usenet
news reader software...it may be the reason why. If you're unable to set
your preferences so that your responses include quoted previous posts,
perhaps you could highlight then cut and paste into your follow-up
posts.
As for your reply, your initial question must surely have given pause to
the majority of the longtime posters here. There is a collective base of
actual knowledge to be found on this news group...but it is not a
*support* news group. I suggest you may wish to find google.groups.com,
type in alt.adoption for your search criteria, and then read the topics
which most interest you. On alt.adoption you will find a mix of adoption
"life experts" -- meaning those who have had a broad experience with
adoption, i.e., adopted adults, parents both adoptive and birth, as well
as those who are also interested in adoption...even an adoption
professional, on occasion.
