yes, I have to confess that I have now joined the board of an organization
that supports abandoned babies, but wait we also provide homes for their
abandoned parents ---- and if any one of you needs a puppy or a kitten, ---
oh, well it was a good start at humour --

-- I don't know what happened -- the skiing was bad, it was cold, and too
early for the cycling season -- I had a free evening -- and volunteered for
the board of our local humane society -- anyway, its a good cause.

I am trying to figure out PIPEDA - the federal Protection of Personal
Electronic Information Act -- for two or three non-profits that I sit on
the boards of. Oh. well I had to read it for myself anyway.

We are waiting for a big storm to hit here today. It is about 80 miles south
of the known centre of the civilized world - Welland Ontario - and we are
waiting to see how much snow will hit. The question later today may be --
do we shovel or wait to Saturday and watch it melt? -- not a question that
you have to ask in Florida.

Best Wishes to all -- Doug Thomas

Funny you should say that Doug, they're expecting a storm in my home town
(across the lake from toronto), sadly I'm in Florida. It's pretty nice.

Best Wishes to all -- Doug Thomas

We're waiting for one here, too. I was supposed to go downtown today an
flyer for the March for "Choice" (how I hate that term!) but by all reports
there was going to be freezing rain and then snow. Well.....There's a
little bit of snow on the ground. However, it just started to snow again so
maybe it's just late. Usually there is some awful storm on the way that
never happens.

Five nights ago one of my local weatherpeople said, and I quote, "Winter is
over, friends." Yet, I awoke this morning to at least 2 inches, maybe more, of
snow. Does it usually snow after winter is over? Or can it be possible that my
weatherperson was wrong? Surely not!
