If the issue were merely religion vs safety,
safety is a compelling reason and wins.

The blood contamination problem and the danger side
of some vaccines are the secular issues which are
the straw that breaks the camels back.

The issue of safety is NOT as cut and dried as
many people like to think, considering bloodborn
pathogens and side effects/deaths caused by vaccines.

"First do no harm" is not all that simple when those two
parts come into the picture.

Do you know that the US government used to have
a fund to pay out when people died as a RESULT
of vaccines? It was severely restricted
or eliminated. There were too many claims.
So instead of fixing vaccines, they just quietly
neutered the compensation fund.

I'll bet nobody reading this ever heard of it.
Even the medical people.

I stumbled across it when reading Federal court cases.

And vaccines are of huge importance this winter
with the worst flu outbreak in decades.
A huge problem is that the set of vaccines being
given out do NOT match some of the ones going around.

I really am NOT saying don't vaccinate.

But I AM saying that there are good reasons NOT
to steamroller over people who do not believe in them.

My husband is a special blood donor for newborn babies. He's carefully
screened every time he donates. He carries no viruses or anything that can
pass by blood. He's a universal donor and his blood is kept separate. He's
been doing this for years and has saved many babies lives. He gets no
payment or any type of reward for giving this life-saving blood.
The blood used for babies is not mixed with the other blood. Contact the
Red Cross and get accurate information from them concerning the blood used
