They are all hundreds of miles away from where I live in East Texas.
Surely I can learn from the internet, from the used books I buy & from
those I get on interlibrary loan, etc. I can learn from sitting in
court rooms, listening & observing.
However, I do need someone to answer my legal questions. I can't learn
everything on my own. So far, no lawyers will help.
In Texas, it's illegal for anyone but a lawyer to answer legal
questions, & the lawyers here will Not answer them. [The lawyers &
judges even tried to make self-help law books (Nolo Press) illegal in
Texas.]
I also need some verbal support from lawyers, because this is a very
tough job for me to be doing.
Please help.
Thanks.

Then how do you hire an attorney if doing so means you have to ask a legal
question?
As an educated guess, I'd say the law is unconstitutional as that would
restrict "freedom of speech".
As there are other states, and each one having a multitude of printers, the
books can still get printed.
What defines a legal question?
If the lawyers will not answer the questions, how do they maintain a
business?

======
Hi Richard,
The Cash-Up-Front Lawyers
What the lawyers are doing, is to demand payment up-front, before
they'll do or answer anything, ... or they lie about what they can &
will do.
The lawyers are in a position of power, & their clients are not. The
lawyers demand their clients' trust, then betray them.
The lawyers here, get people to mortgage or refinance their houses,
cars, property, businesses, ... to borrow money from friends &
relatives, ... to go into serious debt, etc.
Then the lawyers keep the money, still refuse to answer questions, &
refuse to work.
To sue a lawyer, you have to hire another lawyer, ... & the next lawyer
will do the same things, that the first one did.
It's a Catch-22 system.
------------
Primitive Human Nature & Slavery, Power & Predators
Some lawyers (& doctors) want to live & act only, as this
fantasy-fogged, worthless yet harmful, powerful & privileged aristocracy
in the US, that deserves $$$. ???
These bad behaviors are basic, primitive human nature. They are
supposed to be somewhat controlled in a civilized society, ... but in
Texas they aren't, due to bad laws & failed govt.
"Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely."
Whenever possible, some people (like Bush & Co., Gov. Rick Perry, etc.)
will try to set up slavery-type situations, where a few people have
rights & all the rest don't.
This is what's now happened in Texas & Louisiana.
-----------
No Quality Controls
The Texas state agencies are fake-fronts & bad/sick jokes. They are
Not enforcing any quality control over most lawyers, doctors,
counselors, etc.
------------
Lawyers' Not Working
The lawyers say that it's not worth working any more, ... that the court
system is too slow, complicated, & costly, ... & that the cases get
reversed by the bad judges in the Texas State Supreme Court anyway, ...
so why should they work?
Many lawyers feel betrayed by the system & bitter. However, we've all
been lied to & betrayed!
If the lawyers work, then they lose large amounts of money. If they rip
people off & don't work, then they make money.
The bad politicians & their laws (such as tort reform & damage caps)
have helped reduce the Texas legal system, to this festering sore &
sewer-type community, which is very harmful & super-stinks!
Please help me work to fight & change this.
----------
Indifference = Consent
It's wrong to sit back & watch people being robbed, harmed, & murdered,
& to do nothing, esp. in your own state & country.
Please help change the Texas legal system for the better.

Is there a misc.legal FAQ, which can help people learn (more quickly &
effectively) about the legal system, & about how to bring their cases to
court?
When the legal system & lawyers fail us, that leaves only the internet
as a place to get information & help.
Richard answered:
A good law library would be a good place to look. And probably better
informed.
