I have been acting in the capacity of a manager for the past six months and
supervisor for the past year in a corporate environment. I even carry the
title of 'interim'.
I was promised a promotion to the next or next after level now from two
different executives above me. Each have promised but have always been asked
to wait until this.....or wait until that happens....etc. Now the company
is downsizing dramatically, my job will be at risk within the next few
months. I will get severance etc. However, I have continued to push for the
promotion in order to be able to better market myself as I seek other
employment and the company which is purchasing us is also tapping into our
workforce. The only stipulation on hiring our employees is that they at
least match the salaries. My performance appraisals are exceeds or meets in
every category and I have taken on administrative work of the employees,
personnel management, etc all for naught.

I'm getting screwed and I don't think its fair. Is there any recourse?
