I am getting divorced in Jan, after a year separation which is required in
North Carolina. I am unable to pay my bills and will be forced to declare
bankruptcy, my income is 12,000 over the means teat for chapter 7 in NC.

here's the plan.

After the divorce I move to New Hampshire, means test for ch.7 is 54,000. I
establish residence and 6 months later file in NH. Get the Ch. 7 then move
back to NC.

I am a retired Marine so moving doesn't really bother me and I have some
peeps in the NH Mass area. I recently stopped (Nov) paying my credit cards
(80,000) I pay rent, car payment, car insurance only, save some money for
the move.

Any suggestions, input on my plan?
