i wanted to file bankruptcy but the two lawyers i talked to wanted $ 500
down payment then $ 250 a month...i only get 606.00 a month from
widows pension & SSI....i didn't have the money right now to file before
10/17...will there be a big difference in filing after 10/17 ????

Yes, there will be big differences after 10/17. One of them will be that
your attorney won't file your case for the fee and costs they quoted you
before 10/17.

That's the truth.... but maybe you are judgment proof and maybe you can
get legal aid??

ha ha... legal aid!!! i tried getting legal aid a few years ago, as i am
a younger widow. i wanted to do a will & also wanted in writing tat my
daughter gets my house & she has to pay my son so much if i die...I live
in Pa. & called the legal aid society...i was told that was a luxury &
legal aid is only for if you get in trouble or arrested & don't have the
money for a lawyer !!!!
