An attorney told me that all student loans were exempt under chap 7
and chap 13. My student loan specifically was a private loan from a
bank. It wasn't a stafford government loan. She explained to me that
all student loans are either stafford, sallie mae and freedie mac.

If it was a private loan from a bank, then its not technically a "Student
Loan", its more of a signature loan. If they advertised it as a student
loan though, you may want to verify with them what type it is.
