Of course you may ask. Will you get it? It seems very unlikely.
It's possible your trustee might agree to a telephonic examination,
but if the reason was much more voluntary than you being drugged and
abducted to find yourself in SF I wouldn't count on not having the
money as enough of an excuse to avoid personally attending the 341.
