GMAC is telling me, if I give my truck back, they will auction it off and
attach my home for the rest. Will 13 stop this before and/or filing after
they put a lean on my house. I'm presently waiting for SS Disability and I'm
building up lots of medical debt?

Depending upon the laws in the state in which you reside, a returned
automobile is typically auctioned off and the deficiency is still the
borrower's responsibility. Failure to pay may cause the creditor to obtain
a judgment for breach of contract, and the judgment is recorded with the
county recorder as a lien on any real property in the debtor's name.
Prejudgment bankruptcy may preclude this from happening. Talk to a local
bankruptcy attorney without delay.
