I am about to do a chapter 7, but within the last month I had an old
junker car ('90 Nissan) that had like 240,000 miles on it, plus had a
busted fuel pump (would have cost $200 to replace and fix), plus the
suspension was shot, the alternator was fried....it would have cost
like two grand total to fix it.
I had no money to fix it at all, so (to save the lot rental I was
paying for it!) I donated it to a local charity. They came and towed
it away.
How would I address this on my chapter 7 filing?
You would indicate on one of the forms. Tell your attorney and he/she will
know how to handle it.

You indicate it as a donation on your SFA. No problem.
