Jennie, I am reluctant to speak for Jackie, but in general when someone says
something like your quoted remark above, they have reference to running
everything in reunion, not running everything in their entire life. And, in
fact, that they "run everything" in reunion is exactly because they did not
make any of the choices whatever the outcome that were denied you. I'd be
surprised if Jackie meant otherwise.
