Does anyone know...If an IRS issue comes up after filing ch.11, but deals
with a pre-petition time period, can those taxes be owed?

A corporation cannot receive a bankruptcy discharge, but
creditors in a Chapter 11 are bound by the terms of the Chapter
11 Plan. If the taxes weren't scheduled or referred to in the
Chapter 11, depending on the details of the case, they might not
be dealt with.
