A nice man, too nice, really. He got us through our BK 13 filing, conversion to BK 7 and discharge 4/29/03. BUT there were things he never, ever told us--such as one can reaffirm a debt (we had two accounts with very small balances) but gave us the impression we had to list them all.

You are dead wrong.

Your attorney is right. You do NEED to list all your debts during a
BK, even including the ones that cannot be discharged (student loan)
and the ones that you want to reaffirm. BK filing is a "total
disclosure" of your financial records. You have to list them ALL.
Otherwise, your case is fraudulent.

I do not think your attorney is at fault technically. Reaffirming a
debt is a different process from BK. Reaffirming a debt is not a part
of BK process.
