we live in connecticut. 4 houses at the end of a culdasac have a right of way on our property to the dock owned by all 4. one of the houses was recently sold with the right of way. the new owner does not want to honor the right of way in the deed as it is too inconvenient. she is requesting to come across our yard in another direction. our deed and our neighbor's deeds have been clear and always been honored until now. what recorse do we have?

You can let them come across your property or you can deny them permission to cross your property. It's your call. Recourse is to file criminal trespass charges.

This is not a criminal trespass situation, more like civil trespass or unauthorized entry onto land. You should not expect the police would do anything but tell you to take it to court and get an injunction or declaratory judgment.
