 i am inquiring about the mississippi labor laws regarding having to work with other employees who constantly cause trouble and wont allow you to do your job....is there a law that protects employees from these trouble makers who never get repremanded.. i work in a truckstop/gas station in victoria, ms. It is ran by arabs and there are a couple of employees who have been there since he bought the store and one in particular rants and raves and cusses people out all day to the point it makes you a nervous wreck. she interferes with the orders you place with the food distributors and keeps nasty rumors started all the time about employees. we have talked over and over to the manager and he just keeps promising that it will get better but she seems to think she cant be fired for disruptions...he will not write her up or repremand her in any way because he has been accused of sexual harrassment, therefore, making it impossible for other employees to do their job and take care of customers...we all suffer and if we say anything back to her, she rants and raves because somebody said an ugly word to her but we have to take her verbal abuse....she is not a manager...just a regular employee as we are....also, is there a law concerning an employees safety as far as, for example, working in a restuaurant kitchen that has not been inspected or approved by the state? this kitchen has not been inspected or approved by any organization and he is running full force...for instance, bare wiring, 220 machinery working off of extension cords, no thermometers n the hot and cold coolers...no tops on breading, no lids on anything actually....does not make other employees clean utensils or meat slicers...etc....

You're going to have to provide a lot more detail about what kind of trouble you are talking about.

You also haven't provided much to go on with regards to the restaurant kitchen but you are free to contact your local board of health.

It sounds like a miserable place to work but with regards to your first question no laws are being broken.

I already told you what to do about the second question.
