In the state of SC, is there a maximum limit to the number of hours a non-exempt hourly person can work per day?

Generally speaking, there is not. And there is no requirement for daily overtime pay. Not in your state nor in hardly any other state. The only "hours of work" exceptions are for those employee engaged in certain safety-sensitive jobs such as airline pilot, long-haul truckers, etc.
