After working for my company with an expemplary record, I have chosen to leave the industry and submitted my resignation in writing yesterday giving the company the last day of my employment as June 2nd in order to support my customers and the company. I am a salaried sales person. My future plans all revolve around this date as do my finances. My direct boss did not take kindly to my resignation and indicated in an email yesterday that he wants me to dump all my pertinent client information to the other employees in the office today and that my services will no longer be needed after Friday. I believe this is a huge disservice to my customers, but if they choose this action are the legally bound to pay me through the last day I agreed to work in my written resignation letter?
