what are the laws about being kicked out.
is it illegal for a parent to tell the kid not to come home or...
"if you don't like the rules you can leave"
and they leave... can they get introuble?
or can the parents.
or if the parent doesn't have if's involved and just tell the kid to leave.
is that illegal for them to tell a minor to leave home.

Not only do the parents have the right to provide for and have control of you, they also have the RESPONSIBILITY to provide for and have control of you. If you, or anyone you know, has been banished from their home, and is under the age of majority in your state (most are 18, some older), get in touch with protective services and/or the police.

But what if the person really does better on their own and doesn't want the police involved?
I don't know where you live, but around here the police make a mess of anything they touch...and I know personally of feuds that the police department has with townspeople-normal people who don't do anything wrong.
If the person is capable why not allow them to move on?
(Sorry to be a pest, I'm just curious...please don't be offended :) )

I'm not offended :) . I was simply answering the post as I interpreted the tone to be. It sounded like the op was upset about parents kicking him or a friend out. I told him what could be done.
If the person doesn't want to involve the police and doesn't want to go back, then don't. (I AM NOT ADVOCATING OR PROMOTING THIS CHOICE ) I just hope that the person in the situation has a place to stay and a means of support. Good luck.
