Yesterday, I came back to my apartment around 5:30 pm and found a note taped to my door saying that they will be spraying for roaches in the whole building tomorrow morning at 8:30 am and to have everything out of the closets and cabinets or get charged $50 dollars. By the time I got home, the pest control company and the apartment office were closed. For Indianapolis, Indiana, what is the minimum amount of time that a landlord can give the residents in cases for spraying pesticides in the apartments?

Depends on your lease terms- usually it will outline the notice required. However, this may be an emergency situation, meaning the landlord has to give soem notice but also has to timley and reasonably address any situation that impacts public health and safety and a pest infestation would qualify for that. The other problem- if the units around you are sprayed and yours is not the pests will go to your unit, then you have a problem.
