I was working for a large company in Minnesota. I got very sick at work one day and asked my boss if I had available time to go home. He checked the computer and told me I did have time to take off so I did. Three days later I was called into my supervisors office and told that I didnt have the time to take and even though my boss told me I could leave I was being fired. How can I get in trouble for listening to him when he told me I could leave?

It may not be fair, but it was legal.

For the record, I don't agree with the decision. But all you can do is file for unemployment and look for other work.
