I'm an hourly employee that works 40 hours per week. My hours are 8-5. I got back from a business trip to Alabama. How does an hourly employee get paid for business trips? I left at 4am on a Monday to go to the airport and worked headed to the office there to work a full day. I got back on a Friday night after 9pm. My days are m-f.

Do I get paid overtime on the travel days? How does all this work? Should I get compensated for meals while there and how much?
