My husband is a construction foreman in CT. He is required to drive to the shop each day and pick up his crew and then proceed to their job site. He is the only person on the crew that has a driver's license and is therefore required to do all of the driving every day.
For eleven years now his boss has paid him only for the trip in the morning. He refuses to pay him for the return trip to the shop at then end of the day.
Is this legal?

Thank-you.

Assuming he is a nonexempt employee (generally speaking, paid hourly), he must be paid for both trips.

If he is nonexempt and the employer will not correct this error, he can file a claim with the state Dept. of Labor.
