Looking for any info. on half sister born Jan. 1*952 somewhere in
Lackawanna,
New York. Birth Mother Elizabeth Rymell or could have used the last
name
Millard. BM DOB July 24, 1934, she was from Elmira, NY and did not
tell the
birth father about baby girl until almost 4 years ago. Now birth
father would
like to find her. Have been in touch with birth mother and she will
not give
out any other info on child. NYS vital records says not record of
such
a birth.
Our Lady of Victory says same. If anyone can help I will be so happy
to
hear from anyone. Father is now in early 70's and would like to find
her. Has
even sent his DNA into a place to help find her. So far no matches
there.

Commissioner's Report of Investigation
RE: Adoption of Baby Girl Lester aka Baby Girl 9286
The alleged father is said to be 40 years of age. He is a high school
graduate, retired from _____ and is retail manager of a store. He is
married and has two children.
The mother was firm in her convictions that adoption would be the best
plan for her infant daughter. _____ 1967 Robin was committed to the
care and custody of the Board of Public Welfare of Chesapeake by the
Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court of that City.
Circumstances of the placement: Mr. and Mrs. Smith applied to the
Chesapeake City Department of Public Welfare for a second child whom
they
might adopt. Their home was reevaluated and considered to be a
suitable
home for Robin; therefore, she was placed with them on ____________.
(this blank actually is December 21, 1967, that's the day my adoptive
parents brought me home as its in my baby book)
A representative of the child placing agency visited Robin in her
adoptive home three times within a period of six months prior to the
filing
of the petition as stipulated by the Code. This is attested by the
Certificate of Placement and Visitation submitted with this report.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith are a matured and secure couple who have a sound
relationship with each other. Mrs. Smith's main interest appears to be
her
home and family. In the past three years she has learned to be
flexible
with children and is understanding of her children's needs. Mr. Smith
is considered to be a very outgoing and warm individual. He is able to
be firm but gentle with the children in the home. Robin has adjusted
well to her home and adoptive family, and is believed to be benefiting
from the splendid care which she is receiving. The child placing
agency is
of the opinion that Robin and her adoptive family are well suited to
each other.
Commissioner's recommendation: The Commissioner recommends that the
final order of adoption be entered, omitting the interlocutory order
and
period of probation as provided by Section 63.1-229, Code of Virginia.
Respectfully submitted,

Hi Everyone,
Well now we are offically in the Christmas Season. I thougth I be one
of the first to repost my info:
ISO Birth Mother or any Family members.
Born 4/2/58 in Beth Israel Hospital to Dorothy A. Good(not sure if
first name is correct). BM was suppposely 23 yrs old. Her occupation
was
Telephone Operator/Clerk. Her address at time of my birth was listed
as
642 columbus Ave., NYC This address has been a private school for
years
so I'm thinking it might have been a home for unwed mothers. Haven't
verified that yet. BM named me Mary Frances Good at birth. Adopted
Parents kept first name. I became Mary Frances Kennedy. Only info on
Birth
Father from non-iden is that he was 35ys old at my birth. Occupation
was
a chauffer driver & probably American of Irish background. Placed for
adoption in Catholic Home Bureau of NYC(opearted by St. Patrick's,
which
is NY disec. owned I believe)adopted Dec 1959 thru Bronx surrgate
courts. I have been looking 25yrs+. I have kinda stepped back because
I have
been stuck in the same place for a long time. I am registed with NYDH.
I was told all records were destroyed in a fire. Which I find hard to
believe because I feel such important info would have been put on
mircofilm. 2 yrs ago I registed with Worlwide tracers. They came up
with
nothing more than I already had. Which was a huge bummer! I feel some
family member or someone somewhere have to know something about me or
wonder..... Thanks for listening.

'TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS,THEY LIVED ALL ALONE,IN A ONE BEDROOM HOUSE MADE OFPLASTER AND STONE.I HAD COME DOWN THE CHIMNEYWITH PRESENTS TO GIVE,AND TO SEE JUST WHOIN THIS HOME DID LIVE.I LOOKED ALL ABOUT,A STRANGE SIGHT I DID SEE,NO TINSEL, NO PRESENTS,NOT EVEN A TREE.NO STOCKING BY MANTLE,JUST BOOTS FILLED WITH SAND,ON THE WALL HUNG PICTURESOF FAR DISTANT LANDS.WITH MEDALS AND BADGES,AWARDS OF ALL KINDS,A SOBER THOUGHTCAME THROUGH MY MIND.FOR THIS HOUSE WAS DIFFERENT,IT WAS DARK AND DREARY,I FOUND THE HOME OF A SOLDIER,ONCE I COULD SEE CLEARLY.THE SOLDIER LAY SLEEPING,SILENT, ALONE,CURLED UP ON THE FLOORIN THIS ONE BEDROOM HOME.THE FACE WAS SO GENTLE,THE ROOM IN SUCH DISORDER,NOT HOW I PICTUREDA UNITED STATES SOLDIER.WAS THIS THE HEROOF WHOM I'D JUST READ?CURLED UP ON A PONCHO,THE FLOOR FOR A BED?I REALIZED THE FAMILIESTHAT I SAW THIS NIGHT,OWED THEIR LIVES TO THESE SOLDIERSWHO WERE WILLING TO FIGHT.SOON ROUND THE WORLD,THE CHILDREN WOULD PLAY,AND GROWNUPS WOULD CELEBRATEA BRIGHT CHRISTMAS DAY.THEY ALL ENJOYED FREEDOMEACH MONTH OF THE YEAR,BECAUSE OF THE SOLDIERS,LIKE THE ONE LYING HERE.I COULDN'T HELP WONDERHOW MANY LAY ALONE,ON A COLD CHRISTMAS EVEIN A LAND FAR FROM HOME.THE VERY THOUGHTBROUGHT A TEAR TO MY EYE,I DROPPED TO MY KNEESAND STARTED TO CRY.THE SOLDIER AWAKENEDAND I HEARD A ROUGH VOICE,"SANTA DON'T CRY,THIS LIFE IS MY CHOICE;I FIGHT FOR FREEDOM,I DON'T ASK FOR MORE,MY LIFE IS MY GOD,MY COUNTRY, MY CORPS."THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVERAND DRIFTED TO SLEEP,I COULDN'T CONTROL IT,I CONTINUED TO WEEP.I KEPT WATCH FOR HOURS,SO SILENT AND STILLAND WE BOTH SHIVEREDFROM THE COLD NIGHT'S CHILL.I DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVEON THAT COLD, DARK, NIGHT,THIS GUARDIAN OF HONORSO WILLING TO FIGHT.THEN THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVER,WITH A VOICE SOFT AND PURE,WHISPERED, "CARRY ON SANTA,IT'S CHRISTMAS DAY, ALL IS SECURE."ONE LOOK AT MY WATCH,AND I KNEW HE WAS RIGHT."MERRY CHRISTMAS MY FRIEND,AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT,"This poem was written by a Marine stationed in Okinawa Japan. The following is his request. I think it is reasonable.....PLEASE. Would you do me the kind favor of sending this to as manypeople as you can? Christmas will be coming soon and some credit
isdue to our U.S. service men and women for our being able tocelebrate these festivities.Let's try in this small way to pay a tiny bit of what we owe.Make people stop and think of our heroes, living and dead, whosacrificed themselves for us. Please, do your small part to plant

on this group. Please agree to all rules.
1. All members must respect other members that are on the group.
Regardless of religion or what ever the case may be. We are here for
the same

2. No bashing on this group. This can result in being moderated or
even
removed from this group. This involves posting to the group with
offensive posts towards this group or its members. You will be removed
if
such thing should happen. No Explanation will be given by the
moderators
or owner of reason why you have been unsubbed.
3. No Paid Searchers !! If you are here to solicit members your
membership will not be approved. If you're found on the group
soliciting our
members, your membership will be revoked, with no explanation.
4. No minor Searches are allowed on this group. The person you are
looking for must be of legal age that is required by the state. If you
are
here for a minor search, we will not be responsible for any legal
matters that may arise. It is against the law in some states to search
for
minors. Some states require that the age to search is 21, so please be
sure to check the laws for your state that you are searching in.
5. This group is allowed NAR .(NAR-Non Adoption Related) When posting
NAR things to the group please put in your subject line NAR. That way
members that do not want to read the NAR things can delete the message

comes to politics and religion. It does tend to cause trouble.
9. There will be no set to no mail. You may set to special notices
but
not to no mail. This will do the same as no mail but also allows the
owner/mods to get special announcements out to all members.
We ask all members to remain active on this group...
10. There is an membership application sent out to every new member
upon subscription to the group. All new members are being checked out
throughly. If your name and phone number do not match your or are not
found your membership will be held pending until you can correct or
provide such information. Otherwise your membership will not be
approved.
Also if your Request to join this group is not returned within 7 days,

11. All members may have more than one email address but different
information and names being used under one isp# will become subject to
our
inquiry, immediately placed on moderation until the member can explain
or do own investigation. This is done to assure that bogus or hacked
accounts are not on the group and to protect our members.
12. We have a chatroom for this group. If you should come in our
chatroom, Please keep in mind that we have the same rules in there as
well.
Please respect everyones feelings when entering in chat. We will take
you out of the room for outbursts to the members that are there.

Subject: File - Information For North Carolina Birth Mothers
Piece for NC birthmothers
I would like to let any of the birthmothers who may be on this site
and
are from NC living out of state, or who still live in NC about part of
the adoption law many do not know about. Birthmothers in NC are
allowed to send in updated medical information, which now has to be
sent on
to either the adult adoptee or to the adoptive parents. Usually if
there is a problem with the adult adoptee, any hospitalization etc,
they
will pass info on to adoptive parents. The way it was put to me, even
if
you have had a cold which you went to the doctors for, contact the
agency which handled your adoption. They will let you know exactly
which
forms you need to fill out and what has to be sent back in. If anyone
has any questions regarding this, please feel free to contact me at
nccar@mindspring.com

Robin Suzanne Smith is now 17 months old, having been born on 12-5-67.
She is a pretty, appealing child who has an easy going disposition and

problem with Robin is, "We can't fill her up." Both Mr. &Mrs. Smith
appear to enjoy a close relationship with Robin and it is obvious that
they

HI,
Well I have been searching for 25 years+. I thought I had so mcuh info
but yet come up short. I even used Worldwide tracers 2 yearsago. They
didn't come up with any more than I had. Which I must admit really was
a
bummer. What avenues doe you have? I have more or less given up! I

Subject: REPOST
